Cradle to Grave Approach to Cost Management

Our second Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Liverpool John Moores University successfully completed in the Summer of 2008. Over the two year period, we have  worked in partnership with the University, and our KTP Associate Jacinta Scullion , to develop new services, including, in particular a unique, proactive and dynamic approach to Whole Life Costing.

Our Whole Life Costing model can be updated throughout the life of both new and existing buildings. It documents the level of capital and revenue expenditure and provides a versatile cost management tool, allowing performance measurement, value management, and benchmarking to be carried out, resulting in the best overall economic and sustainable solutions.

We have successfully applied the approach on properties within the Liverpool John Moores estate, and we are now able to provide the service to clients who recognise the need for future investment decisions to take account of whole life value as a fundamental part of their building strategy.
