This project comprises the phased refurbishment and redevelopment of existing buildings, and extensions along with provision of a new lift.
The project was completed in a live environment, so the safety and comfort of the staff, patients, and visitors was paramount throughout the works.
The first phase of the project provided a new bed lift and lift shaft together with associated alterations to the Academy and the demolition of part of an existing structure, followed by a new build extension, providing a patients lounge, multi use space and chapel. There were also extensive external works.
We then assisted the client in a successful application to receive funding for a further project, of approximately £0.5m, to further improve the facilities adding 10 new ensuite care bedrooms into an existing building and enhancing the reception and relatives areas.
